Glass Fountain Pens

While browsing the stationary section at Dollar Tree, I noticed they had glass fountain pens on the shelves. I purchased one of each color available; blue, green, and pink. Each pen came with a small vial of ink that matched the color of the pen!

Sadly the green leaked in the carton and was all over the ink vial. (Opening the vial was messy..and the ink stained my hands.)

The blue and pink pens had plastic protectors on the tips (this is great for prolonging the life of your pen!), but for some reason the green did not.

I proceeded to write and doodle with each pen to test both the ink color and the flow. Each color ink exceeded my expectations! The ink flowed well when the pen was held at an angle (as fountain pens are meant to be held). A small dip went a long way! I was able to write 3 lines of text/ scribbles, on one small dip worth of ink.

I suggest getting these if you'd like to test glass fountain pens, want to get into beginner calligraphy, or just to have in general! The glass body of the pen, although simple, is sleek and has a hint of elegance to it.
